New Canadian bill would allow courts to punish Canadians for things they have not even done yet – or might not even do. Bill C-36 would “allow a person to appear before a provincial court” if the person “fears” (as in suspects) that another will commit a “hate” offense, which includes speech online. Free speech hangs in the balance.
We thank God for the First Amendment, but our leaders are also working overtime to stifle free speech, and to track and categorize us accordingly. This is an end goal of the United Nations! No free thought. All information must be "official" information, truth be damned. True principles demand that people are free to be wrong! Otherwise how can we learn or grow? Everyone has been wrong at some point, even on major issues. Should we all be in jail? The globalists think so. They want a 1984 scenario, where everyone is afraid to speak anything but government-sanctioned snippets. Notice that this is targeting "suspected" "hate speech". Where else have we seen similar tactics, and how has that played out? Well, Child Protective Services comes to mind, and here in Idaho our legislators have declared that more that 80% of calls to CPS are fraudulent! Which doesn't matter, because "Won't somebody think of the children?!?" So, every claim is assumed to be true, and families are put through hell in the process. Again, that's the point. Government harassment that is intended to instill fear and drive unquestioning compliance.
